The following demonstrates a foundational transition in Katonah Yoga® : Forward Fold to Downward Dog.

Consider practicing the forward fold for 10 breaths: ;transitioning to the downward dog slowly from the

ardha uttanasana (half forward fold):

on finger-tips

spine and arms extended

crown of the head reaching toward the front of the mat

to downward dog (for 10 breaths):

keeping the legs as the primary workers

knees bent the same as the where in the Katonah Yoga® forward fold

hamstrings attempting to extend up (prana) and calves down (apana)
